When I think back on this wedding, I am overwhelmed with such a peaceful joy. This was my first wedding 6 weeks after giving birth, and it is such a beautiful memory! I was so blessed to be able to work with the most amazing couple to create their beautiful day.

It was a bit different caring for a newborn while also prepping for a wedding. The bridal bouquet sat in a stockpot on the stove (turned off of course), my kitchen became design central, and the guest bathtub held all the buckets of flowers and greenery. I worked late in the evening after my husband had rocked our little girl to sleep. In a way, it was very much like the first few weddings I ever designed. It was a challenge, but as always a way to learn and grow.

I don’t normally post wedding blogs (maybe I’ll start?), but I was just so proud of this day. Proud that it came together to be so lovely, but most of all proud that I have such a wonderful team of support. I tend to be a very independent person, but I leaned heavily on my favorite people for this weekend. My most dear friend of 24 years picked up my flower order from Import Flowers, Facetiming me to make sure everything was perfect. She then also helped to deliver and set up everything for the wedding. My husband cared for the baby, loaded us in and out, and drove us to the venue with only a couple grumbling complaints (We forgot snacks). My parents watched our little Everly Laurel and brought dinner (much to my husband’s delight).

I absolutely love being a wedding floral designer. I love the pace, the blooms, and of course being a part of such special moments. It brings me so much joy to know that my little girl will be able to grow up watching her mother do something she loves. And this wedding proved it was possible!

So without further ado, here are a few images from one of my favorite weddings:

The design was beautiful, classic, romantic. Taking place mid November, one of the first true cold snaps of the year moved everything inside. But I don’t believe it could have been any more lovely!

Brass vases designed low to the ground, arched to define the ceremony space under the jackson vine wall greenery. These vases were then reused for the reception on the ends and in front of the head table.

Floral and jackson vine were designed twining up the railing of the Cordelle steps. Guest tables were laid out with eucalyptus greenery, lanterns, candles, and floral designed in delicate compotes.
